Palmyra, New York

UPDATE! Smith family farm in Palmyra, New York is correct!
Log cabin where the family lived.
Kitchen in the frame home. The family moved there after Alvin Smith died. It was started as a home for him and his soon to be wife.

One picture here is tripping me up. I thought that the Joseph Smith Memorial, pictured at the bottom, was at his birthplace in Vermont. Help me out here.

The monument is actually a little way down the road at the top of Hill Cumorah. But good job, you guessed it. We'll tell Amy to get her chocolates ready

This is incredible! I mean, how many families in America 2014 would be humble enough to live in a house that looks like that? Perhaps we all need to be less materialistic. this really helps put eternal things in perspective.
